Senior night is the one sports event where even the stoic dads get quiet. A custom song with the seniors’ names, played when they walk, does more than a poster board and a rose.

What to include
- First names of the seniors. If there are more than six, pick the ones the crowd already yells, plus a line for “the rest of the class.”
- The sport and the years — “four Fridays,” “from JV in the basement gym.”
- One shared memory, not twelve inside jokes nobody else understands.
- A last-chorus that is about the underclassmen still in the locker room. That is what makes coaches play it again later.
Where it gets played
Most schools already have a slideshow. Swap the soundtrack. Or play the song when each senior walks with their parents and keep the slides silent. Either works. Do not try to time 80 photos to a 3-minute track on the night of. Rehearse once.
