Rivalry week is when a custom song earns its keep. The locker room wants a fight song. The front office wants to keep their job. Those two things can coexist if the track is original and the lyrics punch the rivalry, not a teenager on the other sideline.
Songs For Your Story will write that for $40. Parents buy it. Coach plays it. Same path as the rest of the sports offer.
What we will and will not write
- Yes: the trophy, the streak, the town nickname, “not in our house.”
- Yes: your mascot eating their mascot, metaphorically, if it is already on the t-shirts.
- No: individual opposing players, staff, or anything that becomes a screenshot in a complaint email.
If you want the version that is only love for your own roster, that is the standard team hype song. Football guide. If you want the coach thanked instead, start there.
Where it gets used
Practice speaker first. Then pep rally if it survives the AD. Student-section Bluetooth speakers are not your problem and not something we recommend you organize. Get it into the room the coach controls. Practice playbook.
